Photo Album 6
Return to Visual MediaThe PBPF Photo Albums (numbered 1 through 9) were originally organized by the long-time resident of Wisdom’s Goldenrod, Carol DeAntoni. This was done several years after PB’s death, possibly with input from PB’s direct students Anthony and Ella May Damiani. Some albums have themes, such as Photo Album 3, which is primarily pictures of PB.

The doctor examined their pulse and said, "It appears that they have no outward consciouness." Shri Ramakrishna gently passed his hand over their chest, and uttering in their ears the name of God brought them back to consciousness. Dr. Sarkar said to the Master, "It all seems to be your handiwork." The Master replied with a smile. "No, it is all due to His grace. The minds of these young men have not been scattered on wife, children, wealth or fame. So they are easily concentrated in the name of God." The doctor incidentally remarked that it was a little learning that was dangerous, but profundity of knowledge always made one humble. To this Shri Ramakrishna replied, "Yes, secular knowledge generally makes one dogmatic. Vanity of learning is one of the bondages of man. It is through divine grace that with so much erudition you are still free from it." "Sir." Sarkar said excitedly, "Why, I know almost nothing. I don't feel any humiliation in learning from others, even from these young men, and I can even touch their feet." "I also tell them," said the Master, "as long as I live, I can learn from other." '"

On the Eastern horizon in the holy city of Rishis and Yogis has risen a bright star brilliantly shedding its light on most abstruse questions pertaining to the practice of Yoga. In his work: 'The Primal Power In Man or the Kundalini Shakti- Sri Swami Narayanananda has tackled a most subtle and intricate question, viz., The Mysterious Kundalini Shakti. Only a few writers dared to take up this difficult topic. Swamiji's views differ in various important points from those of his predecessors. But while the former authors expressed merely their opinions and theoretical probabilities Swami Narayanananda puts down his practical experiences covering nearly two decades of intense Yoga Abhyasa (practice). The learned author invites himself other Sadhakas to continue research in this line. And it is but logical that only experience got from direct perception has far more value than deductions from Shastraic (Scriptural) texts. The book deals not merely with the theory of Kundalini Shakti but gives practical advices - how to awaken It by various Mudras, Bandas and Pranayamas."
